Towering over the Hong Kong skyline the Langham Place Hotel offers spacious accommodation and amenities as well as a perfect location for site seeing

The Langham Place hotel is situated in one of the most densely populated areas of the world – Mongkok (which, when translated to English means busy corner) and yet stepping inside you could not feel further away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Hong Kong.

The Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok

The Langham Place is a 5 star, luxury hotel and spa located at 555 Shanghai Street in the heart of Mongkok. The hotel contains 665 rooms and suites and is arranged over 42 levels, offering a range of accommodations and prices. On the roof there is also an open air heated pool area with hot tubs and cabanas overlooking the Hong Kong skyline, served by a full bar and waiter service so you can relax whilst taking in the sunshine and the stunning vista. To stay in pool side shape the hotel also features a 24 hour fitness studio with free weights, cardiovascular and strength machines and personal trainers. To help guests unwind after a gym session there is the Chuan Spa which offers over 60 professional treatments including facials, massage and hydrotherapy. The spa can be found on the 40th floor below the pool area.

Mongkok, Kowloon

The location of the Langham makes it perfect for seeing the many sites that Kowloon and Hong Kong have to offer. Linked by a glass walkway is the Langham Place Shopping Mall, a stunningly modern glass and steel building full of trendy shops and restaurants. The mall also houses an MTR station making travelling around very simple. Fares on the extensive MTR system are incredibly cheap (around £0.45 per person to go from the Langham to the Ferry terminals linking to Central) and the trains themselves are spacious and clean. Within walking distance of the hotel you can find the Jade and Ladies Markets and the infamous Nathan Road with it’s throngs of people and open fronted shops.

Eating and Drinking

The Langham Place itself offers 5 places for food and drink but there are lots more nearby if you chose to leave for the evening. Within the hotel, the Ming Court restaurant was in 2005 voted one of the best places to eat in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Tourist Board and holds a Michelin Star. It serves contemporary Chinese cuisine in a beautiful dining area. Inside the Langham Place Shopping Mall you can take the extremely tall escalator to the top floor and find a collection of bars and restaurants nestled beneath a fake night sky of swirling stars. The night markets opposite the hotel also boast a range of eateries from market stalls to sit down restaurants offering anything from chicken feet to noodles to Western style burgers.
